The status of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) is a certificate issued by an authorised customs office attesting that an enterprise meets all the criteria for customs. The certificate also requires to have internal processes in place, which, in the opinion of the customs, are in line with the standard, and are transparent. The certificate entitles the company to use simplified customs procedures according to the customs rules.
These certificates are valid in all European Union countries as well as in Turkey, Andorra, San Marino, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
